How to use it
It's really easy. Just clip it onto your garden hose and you're ready to go.
Before you start, have a quick look at the two valves (the black one and the red one). When they're standing upright, they're off. When you turn them sideways, they're on.
- The red valve controls the hose water.
- The black valve controls the product coming out of the bottle.
- Turn on the red valve first, so you're spraying plain hose water. You should get a spray of about 3 metres or more, depending on your water pressure. If it's not quite right, adjust it with the red valve or your garden tap.
- Once you're happy with the spray, turn the black valve fully on. You'll see a white foam start to appear where you're spraying. That's the product working.
- Cover the area with wide, sweeping strokes, making sure it gets a really good soaking.
A couple of tips: Don't spray on a windy day, or the product will drift where you don't want it. Please keep it away from fish ponds, drains and waterways.
Spraying your roof? If you're on tank water, disconnect your supply first. Leave it disconnected for four weeks, and make sure you've had at least 6mm of rain over that time before you reconnect.
Got pets? Keep them off the treated area until it's completely dry. If they do get it on their paws, wash them with fresh water so they don't lick it off.
When will I see results? Within one to two weeks, you'll notice the moss, mould or lichen changing colour. That means it's died. From there, the wind and rain do the rest and gradually wash the surface clean. Surfaces that were really bad can take 6 to 12 months to come fully clean. If the area doesn't get much rain, or it's a wall or other upright surface, you might need to give it a helping hand to clear off the dead growth.
